How does this compare to the armasight Spark? Can it be used with a goggle kit for hands free?

Expert Answer
A
Answered by Armando R., Gear Expert, from IL, United States, on October 15, 2019

There have been users who have created mounts for this unit so that it could be helmet mounted, but there are no major manufacturers that we carry making adapters for it yet. The Explorers edition of the SiOnyx comes with a picatinny rail mount. In regards to a comparison, please email us at techsales@opticsplanet.com as the comparison is not a simple one.

Would you recommend a separate IR illuminator and if so which one?

An IR illuminator is always a good option to increase the range of any night vision device. This is one of our most popular options: https://www.opticsplanet.com/atn-ir850-pro-long-range-ir-illuminator-w-adjust-mount.html
