What is the rated muzzle velocity?

A
Answered by José, guest, from OK, United States, on November 03, 2021

Optics Planet gives a good description with good information; however, you still have to take the time and effort to read it. It clearly says in two different spots that the advertised muzzle velocity (out of a 26” barrel) is 1106 FPS. Unfortunately for some, there is not a picture of this. You still have to read the description of what you are buying. Thanks to Optics Planet for giving us the the products and the info we need, even if some people won’t take the time to read it before asking questions about it.

what is the difference between round nose and flat nose .22 ammunition

The flat nose makes it easier to see exactly where your bullet penetrated a paper target, which makes for much easier scoring, as the hole is cleaner with less radial tearing. Flat-nosed ammunition tends to have a lighter load of powder, so they don’t often give you the same velocity as their lead round nose bullet cousins.
