This is for 12GA tube. If your Maverick 88 is 12 GA, so this fits, if your is not 12GA, so it does not fit.

Will this fit the Winchester Defender? It has a 0.88 inch diameter barrel, 1.00 inch diameter ammo tube with 0.25 inch gap between the two.

Yes. The Sniper 5 Position Tactical Rail Barrel Mount should be able to fit any 12GA shotgun barrel including the barrel on the Winchester Defender.
