Meant to buy #007 for the car15 sized hand guards but received #008 instead. Sling fits fine just curious what the difference between 007 and 008 are.

Product 007 is for the CAR-15 and product 008 is for the M-4. The difference is the size of the handguard.

Would the M4 sling work on a Magpul UBR Gen 2 stock? Would it work as is or require a different adapter upon order?

It will fit the UBR Gen II as is as the stock has a slot that directly accommodates up to a 1.25" sling webbing loop.
