There are ports on the Strike Industries King Comp underneath. So shooting prone will kick up some dust. However, these ports are not large like the angled side exhaust ports.

The “expert” is incorrect. There are NO PORTS FACING DOWN. There is a pin hole on the underside for pin and weld jobs. There are 3 small port holes on the top. The unit needs to be installed so the 3 holes are pointing up. I know, because I own this comp and have shot it in the field. I suspect the “expert” has only looked at pictures and didn’t know what he was looking at.

I agree this is no expert. The ports would always be pointing up when timing any comp.

No. This is a combo muzzle device. It has big ports on the sides to act as a muzzle brake (reduce felt recoil), ports on the top (not bottom) to act as a compensator (reduce muzzle rise), and prongs on the front to act as a flash hider (reduce visual signature).
