I used Warne Maxima steel, medium rings to direct mount my scope to a Tikka T3 receiver. The streamlined design of this ring level allowed me to slip the ring around the scope tube without removing the scope from the gun. I can see the bubble through my left eye while I’m on the gun in shooting position. Way less bulky than most similar products, and made by a reputable scope mounting company, for a reasonable price.

I purchased a set of Talley, Modern Sporting, picatinny scope rings and this fit on the ring perfectly. Should also work with any Talley ring-mounts. The big pro of this set up is that, as long as you have tightened each side evenly, the bubble should give you a perfect indication of the level of your rifle. All you need do, once gun is level, is level the crosshairs. Of course, this requires a stable clamping set up to hold your gun while you adjust the scope. The con of the system, is that you have to pick your head up off the stock to see the bubble, which is less than ideal. That docks it 1 star. Overall, a useful setup, that integrates into my scope mounting system.

I have been making do with used gun show/handed down scopes for years, and I recently decided it was time to upgrade them to modern scopes with nicer glass and modern features. This presented a problem, as I didn't want to replace all of the mounting systems that had proven reliable. When I replaced the old scope on my Remington model 7, it had 1 in, low rings, but modern scopes these days come with really large ocular bells. The bolt handle will clear the side of the bell and the adjustment ring, but it doesn't extend past far enough to allow a firm grip. I end up having to push and pull the bolt handle near the middle of the stem, which I do not prefer. This bolt knob is the solution. It extends the length enough to allow me to grip the farthest out "knob" and run the bolt like normal. It is a much less invasive solution than cutting and welding a new bolt stem. When installed, there was a little wiggle, so I put a couple of pieces of electrical tape on the bolt knob and reinstalled the new knob and that tightened everything up nicely. I ding it one star, because it seems like it's overpriced by about $10 for what this thing is. There are a couple of polymer alternatives on the market, but they only make the bolt knob fatter but not much longer, so that wasn't going to help. Changing to higher rings would have necessitated a stock with a higher comb for proper cheek weld/eye alignment, so this thing seemed like the best solution.

I had recently replaced an old 3-9x40 hunting scope on my .260 Rem. Model 7, with a modern DMR style scope, but with the much larger ocular bell, there was almost no way to grasp the bolt handle knob to run the bolt. My 2 options were, replace the medium rings with high rings to get a little more clearance, or try this bolt handle extension. Replacing the rings would require re-zeroing the rifle, and cause ergonomic issues (head placement at comb). This bolt knob gave extra length for me to get a firm grasp on the bolt handle and it still cleared the ocular bell. The pictures just don’t do justice to how big this knob is. I’m a little confused at the pricing. It should be comparable to the various screw on tactical knobs out there, which average between 30 and 40 bucks. At $50, this thing is overpriced. My model 7 is a late ‘90’s vintage with checkering on both sides of the knob (same as was used on m700 BDL rifles of that era). Fit was a little loose, so I wrapped one layer of black electrical tape on the knob before I clamped the new knob on, and that tightened it up nicely.

Easy to mount. Fits Tikka T3 perfectly. The matte black color matches the receiver matte finish almost perfectly. Recoil pin is reversible for eye relief adjustment. Seems heavy in the package, but when you are mounting a heavy precision scope on a lightweight rifle, you need a heavy duty mount. A little different mounting procedure than I’m used to, but it went together fairly easily.

This is the real deal, .30 cal, milsurp ammo can. Not a new production, Chinese knock-off. Mine has the white, dot-matrix style of NATO writing on the side, rather than the yellow stenciling like the picture. A very trivial amount of rust at the handle attachment. I won’t even bother with it. The inside looks brand new. It’s so nice, it might be unissued. The paint is marred only where the moving parts make contact.

This is a fantastic can at a fantastic price. Mine has near zero rust, despite having stored shellfish in the past— they aren’t kidding when they say it stinks inside! A couple of hours in the open air fixed that issue. There are no dents. The inside is nearly immaculate. Some bonehead sprayed green paint over the cool NATO ammo markings on the outside, for no discernible reason. I believe these were used once, then surplused. This size can holds about the same volume as three .50cal cans. It’s about the maximum size you want to have if you plan to fill it up and still be able to move it around. They also have little fences on the lid corners so they stack perfectly This is a good price, and OP will still ship it free (if your order qualifies) even if you include these bulky, heavy babies. This is gonna go in my Jeep to carry tools and recovery straps.

Dramatically reduced recoil, and zero muzzle rise when compared with the basic flash hider provided with my 7.62x39mm AR upper. It is louder than a flash hider, but doesn’t have the concussion of most brakes. It also looks badass and has perfect machining and finish. Not sure if it has any flash suppression capability, because I was shooting on a bright/sunny day. I couldn’t tell a difference in recoil between this caliber and my 5.56 ARs that I shot immediately before and after.

I was excited to install this cover on my PSA Dissipator upper. I lost the tiny clip that holds the milspec cover on, so I was committed to this cover working. I am a big fan of Strike Industries products. This was the first time they have let me down. When I installed the cover, it wouldn’t close. At first I assumed it was the detent, so I turned it all the way in. It still wouldn’t close. The rib at the bottom of the cover was binding on the ejection port opening. Luckily, I am a woodworker and have the tools and skills to modify a piece of plastic. Out came the chisels, and about 5 minutes later, the cover was operational. I had to completely remove the rib that is supposed to fit inside lower edge of the ejection port. I also had to run the detent out about 3 threads in order for it to get a good purchase on the top of the opening. It all operates fine now, but it’s seems like the mold for the flag design may be out of spec, as the milspec cover operated just fine. I still love the concept of this cover, and I plan on purchasing a black capsule model for another upper. It seems like half of the products I buy these days need to be modified to make them work properly (usually not the case with SI products), and unfortunately, this cover was no different. I still recommend it, because it may fit a different upper just fine.
