Are you able to screw one into another to make an even longer extension? If not is there something that would allow you to?

That's not how these work, they slip over the barrel. You would need a 1/2" x 28" thread extension the length of the barrel device, but it would not look or function well in my opinion. Frankly I have never seen a device like this and I wouldn't trust shooting 5.56 with it.
