This mounts to the firearm via an M1913 picatinny bracket. Most AKs do not have a picatinny rail and will not work with this system.

Can this be rigged through a nylon sling or belt to me worn & be able to attach the weapon like a single point sling & taken off as needed?

It is MOLLE compatible, so if you have a MOLLE on your belt it can be attached.
