These are the exact instructions from Sun Optics:
"British SMLE MKIII No.1 .303 Cal. SCOPE MOUNT

BE SURE GUN IS NOT LOADED
1. Place base against side of gun
2. Install ejector screw with spring washer under head.
3. LEAVE LOOSE - DO NOT TIGHTEN
4. Tighten adjust screw against gun's side until base is vertical and dovetail is horziontal.
5. Install Clamp bushing with screw and clamp base against gun's side.
6. Tighten ejector screw.
7. Install scope, etc. per manufacturer's instructions.

NOTE: Some guns require a longer ejection than others. Use the ejector screw that fits your gun properly. "

As you can see they make no mention of the charging bridge, so it should not affect mounting this no-gunsmithing mount. These instructions are specific to the MPN: SM8565.
