No, the “old A5” is not an A5 it’s the Auto-5. Browning never called it the A5, that’s a misnomer the gun community adopted. The A5 is a completely new and different shotgun. The Auto-5 is a long recoil system whereas the A5 is an inertia drive system. Nothing is compatible between the two guns.
