The ports on the TacFire Crown Muzzle Brake will be oriented towards the top in order to mitigate muzzle rise.

The .308 versions of the TacFire Crown Muzzle Brake (MPN:MZ1024-3B and MPN:MZ1024-3SS) are compatible with your upper and 300 Blackout. 300 Blackout shares the same bullet diameter as .308.
