BOA is a trademarked brand name, the Cam Fit system on the Team Wendy Exfil ballistic helmet utilizes this technology, this is the knob you are referring to.
There are multiple features the EXFIL has that you do not get in a standard MICH. Start with the Wilcox Night Vision shroud for mounting night vision optics. Add on the EXFIL Ballistic Rail System for mounting hear protection/communications, a ballistic visor, face shield, and all kinds of other equipment. The Team Wendy EXFIL also has a boltless CAM FIT retention that quickly adjusts to individual head shapes, as well as the Zorbium Foam Liner that has 16 customizable comfort pads in two thicknesses to provide custom-fit comfort and stability. You're getting far more in comfort, security, and adaptability than you would ever get from a standard MICH.
The Team Wendy EXFIL Ballistic Helmets are NIJ Level III-A Certified (according to NIJ STD 0106.01/0108.01). They are not "rated", they are 100% Certified.
The Medium-Large size fits 6 5/8 – 7 1/2 hat sizes, or head circumferences of 20.5 – 23.5".
The XL fits hat sizes 7 3/8 – 7 7/8, or head circumferences of 23 – 24.75".
You can switch it up by changing out the pads for the thick or thin pads based on what you have in the helmet. It would be best to measure your head and base your sizing on your measurement, not just your hat size.
Yes it will.
The "shroud" is in reference to the Wilcox Night Vision Shroud which is the mounting point for night vision.
