Sand/Dirt? Carbon build up? Operator Error? Bad mag catch? Deformed feed lips? Unless the FRT is pulling down on the BCG somehow, this "probably" is NOT a FRT issue.

I’ve had a similar problem too, but mine was seated too tight. just rotate your magazine catch a rotation tighter
