No, this Timney Triggers Ruger American Trigger will only work in a Ruger American Rifle. Depending on what 9mm carbine you have we may have a trigger that will work. Here are some options that might work depending on your gun.

The Timney Triggers Ruger American Trigger MPN: 641C is for Centerfire models of the Ruger American Rifles and MPN: 640R is for Rimfire models.

Yes, just make sure if you are using it for the centerfire models, you get the centerfire model: 2AN-TGR-TTRAT-641C
Likewise the rimfire models need the rimfire trigger: 2AN-TGR-TTRAT-640R
