You could use the .22-.26 cal rod. You would just need to make sure you got the length of rod that would be appropriate for both barrel lengths.

I have a target 6mm BR which measures 42" to the back of the bore guide is 42". Is there a longer rod or an extension?

You would want to purchase the rod that is 44" in length. The measurements are the usable length of the rod. It does not include the length of the handle.

The description mentions that the rods can take reasonable hammer strikes. Are these rods also sturdy enough to clear squibs from a barrel?

It's not recommended to use the Carbon Fiber Cleaning Rods to clear squibs from a barrel.

I recommend using the 36inch Tipton Deluxe 1-Piece Carbon Fiber Cleaning Rod for that rifle. The universal model should work just fine.
