It will work, however you are limited by the magnification of the scope. The 6.5 Creedmoor round allows for longer distances than a 1-4x scope lends itself too.

I would recommend something closer to a 4-16 or 5-20 power optic and a field view of 44-56mm because this scope is more designed for closer engagement to like 550yard max and the 6.5 creedmore can reach out to well over 1000yard with good ammo so you won't really be using your ammo it's full capabilities with this scope
