The top of the illumination dial has a small knurled cap that needs to be unscrewed. You can start to turn the very top knurled portion of the illumination dial and it should budge and eventually open up to reveal the battery compartment.
This would be a great rifle scope for any AR build.

The eye relief is 4 in/101.6 mm at low mag and 3.9 in/99.06 mm at high mag.
Trijicon does not offer the reticles for different calibers. The only differences are whether you want green or red illumination and whether you want the reticle to be in MOA or MIL subtensions.
Thats completely up to you and what unit of measure you prefer. MIL is in centimeters while MOA is in inches. The military almost exclusively uses MIL, while many hunters and civilians as of recent prefer MOA.
It does not include a mount.
