Can the reticle color be switched from red to green to red etc. on the same scope or do I choose when I buy?

It’s on the same scope. The left dial has brightness settings along with the red/green settings as well.

This Trijicon Credo HX CRHX828 1-8x28mm Rifle Scope does not have a BDC reticle. The Trijicon Credo HX CRHX828 1-8x28mm Rifle Scope uses a segmented MOA reticle.

How is the view in low lighting early AM or late PM?

This is LED illuminated with red and green reticle illumination options, and five illumination settings for each color. Between the red or green and the different levels of illumination, you should have no problem seeing the reticle in daylight.

As far as the light, this will be darker than a large objective like a 40-50mm objective lens - it simply won't collect as much light as those are able to. That said, it will be a brighter image than most other low power variable optics, as the objective is 28mm as opposed to the typical 24mm, and the body will help carry light better being a 34mm as well.

Is the illumination daylight bright? I have the original 1-8 and the illumination is worthless in daylight.
