Why is there battery info on a tritium lit optic? This description is contradictory. Is this optic battery free or not?

The Trijicon RMR Dual Illuminated 12.9 MOA Triangle Reflex Sight can be mounted to a Walther PPQ. You will need a dovetail mounting plate, the one at the link below will work.

Yes, you must first request a Trijicon RMR adapter plate from Walther directly through their optic plate request form (linked below). With that plate, you will be able to install this optic.

Does the make a good red dot for a Benelli M4?

The Trijicon RMR Dual Illuminated 12.9 MOA Triangle Reflex Sight could be used on a Benelli M4. You would need to have a picatinny rail section of the receiver of your Benelli M4 to attach the Trijicon RMR Dual Illuminated 12.9 MOA Triangle Reflex Sight. You would also need to select one of the Trijicon RMR Dual Illuminated 12.9 MOA Triangle Reflex Sights that comes with the RM33 mount.

You would be able to replace the rear iron sight on the TA01 with the RM35 base and mount it in the mounting bosses, mounting the RMR on the RM35. Then it would be up to you to remove the front iron sight or not.
