In regards to how its going to look to you because of your astigmatism, there is unfortunately no good way to tell. Because everyone's eyes are different, your eyes may see the dot on the SRO perfectly clear and crisp or it may be blurry. There is yet to be a way and may never be a way to verify which red dot is going to be best for people with an astigmatism like you and I.
I too have astigmatism. I also have a light Rx, do i took a pair of Rx sunglasses and ordered new Rx lenses that have anti-everything on them and are crystal clear for indoor shooting. This resolved the dual red-dot effect and my students can now see my eyes while I'm coaching. YMMV!
