The actual difference is very small and you can use varying sizes to adjust your sight picture, but the Sig standard is that you use #8 / #8 for 9mm or .357 and #6 / #8 for S&W40 or 45ACP.

I believe the #8/#8 also fits the Sig P239 .40.
