Is the ignite reliable?

The dot is decent for the price. If you want to use it on a defensive rifle (assuming it’s the only optic you have) I highly recommend you change the factory mount to something duty grade like a American Defense, Midwest Industries or even a budget UTG mount. The optic uses the aim point t1/t2 mounting pattern so shop around.

Besides the mount being subpar, the optic has not died in me, maintained zero after 2,300 rounds of 556 (after mount was changed). If you have some spare mounts laying around, definitely grab these when they are on sale, otherwise buy a Sig Romeo 5 instead.

The price is right in the ball park of the Romeo 5 and you’ll get more from the Sig for the same or even less money.
