I so much wanted to love this optic...
Written on Mar 25, 2026
One of the main things I didn't like (or realize) is that this mounts lower than your standard 1/3 co-witness height. I found it difficult to quickly get a good eye box.
But the main reason I ended up returning it was because the top 1913 rail section was out-of-spec. I couldn't get any red dot to tighten all the way. The reticle was also a bit odd. It looked canted or "twisted" and off-center. It also didn't illuminate evenly throwing off precision shots.
I sooooo much wanted to love this optic. The glass is very crisp and I like the BDC reticle although it may be a bit too thin. I would compare this to my Burris AR-332. The Burris being more durable, better-built with more reticle illumination options and the AT3 possibly having better glass. If looking for one of these old-school, larger but probably more durable prism sights, I'd go with the no-hassle lifetime warranty Burris.

Holosun ARO-EVO 1x26mm Reflex Red Dot Sight
What a view! Nice large window with a bright and distinct dot. Windage and elevation turrets are recessed and protected. Solar panel offers SHTF, no-battery back-up and also now extends battery life during normal usage. Big Holosun fan but I wish I could've had these before all the 510C's I grabbed.

so far, so good.

I have purchased numerous variations of this optic. The 35-36-37 versions. I prefer the version that has shake awake however this particular version fits my Burris prism optics. I can't believe these are less than $100. I've had most of these for 2 years and so far so good.

Exceeding expectations so far
Written on Dec 04, 2025
I love this line of optics. I have several of the various SCRD line (35, 36, 37) and of those I think this one is my favorite. Mainly because it's the only one with shake awake. The '35' version has a nice, large window with auto-brightness and auto shutdown but no shake awake and I use these on non-SHTF things like competition pistols. All-in-all, it seems you can't go wrong. Very large windows with a crisp reticle that doesn't flicker on lower settings. Only thing I can't really verify is durability. My first one is only 2 years old but still running on the same battery and... so far, so good.

Great for 22 AR's
Written on Oct 19, 2025
My preferred ammo for my M&P 15-22 was Norma Match and Norma Tac-22. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any so I went with another well-known name brand (CCI). Not disappointed. Runs flawlessly not only in my M&P but also in my Buckmark pistol. I'm training for some rimfire competitions, and it looks like this ammo will not only help me train but also compete.

Rise Armament - My go-to trigger upgrade
Written on Aug 04, 2025
I have at least a dozen RA triggers, mostly for AR-15's. So grabbing a few on-sale for my 9mm PCC builds was a no-brainer. I just don't understand spending $200+ on a trigger when these are available for more than half the price. Easy to install, anti-walk pins and, depending on the model, they either have springs or screws on the bottom that sinch the trigger up in place real sturdy like. I had one trigger from RA that was giving me light primer strikes and after an email to their support team they sent me a heavy spring upgrade kit. I will continue to buy their products.

Just what my BCA AR-9 needed
Written on Aug 03, 2025
Great build quality and finish. Exactly what my BCA AR-9 needed to calm it down. It originally came with a standard carbine buffer (What???) and kicked like a mule. Kept bumping up the buffer weight until I weighed the BCG (14.4 oz) and realized I needed a 10oz buffer to get to that magic 24oz weight for 9mm PCCs. Yep, this did it. The carbine runs so smooth now that I'm use it at my local club's Action Rifle League from time to time.

Really loving these red dots from Vector
Written on Jul 07, 2025
I was looking for red dot sights to perch up on top of my LPVO's via 1913 scope ring mounts. Found the Vector optics and haven't looked any further. I think I have at least 4 of these not (various models). The dots are precise and without the refresh-rate flicker you get from some other brands. They ones I purchased offer auto-light sensing and auto-shutoff with shake-awake. Just what I was looking for.

PW9 AR Pistol Caliber Firing Pin And Spring
All I really needed out of this was the spring. The one I got stock from BCA was so weak that after a year or so, it started causing slam fires. I'd pull the trigger and in less than a second, my entire 20+ round mag was gone. Terrifying. I reached out to BCA but didn't get any help so I tried this and it fixed it.

Defective. Would not turn on consistently
Written on Jun 20, 2025
Really wanted to like this optic. Straight out of the box, I had trouble turning it on. At first, I thought perhaps the generic battery they sent was garbage, so I installed a new battery. It turned on! I played with the multiple reticle options, turned it off and was unable to get it to turn back on (again). Switched batteries again and... no good. Would not turn on. Returned for an exchange of a similar product from Vector Optics which I already have 3 of. Just going with what I know works.
