Most night vision can’t handle more than a .223, hour best bet is to get it mounted to a helmet and then mount an IR laser to the gun if your going to use this for a 308 platform.

Yes I agree that the best solution for using these monoculars in a NV role would be to put it on a good solid head mount (I use a skull crusher but a helmet would likely be preferable) along with a NV compatible red dot or NV laser. I use both.
