Fit will depend highly on barrel length, but for shorter pistols it can.

Any backpack armor custom fit for this bag? Does it have a laptop and tablet compartment in the bag?

Not that we are aware of for custom fit armor plate. Can reach out to manufacturer and ask them. It only has the main compartment and carry concealment compartment.
