No, it will not.
Yes, these buffers can work in a Magpul UBR Gen 2, but it will require the A5 spring if you use this buffer weight.
You will need the RE-A5 and SP-A5 kits to upgrade your rifle to the A5 system.
The way the A5 buffer was designed, it does act as a dead blow to reduce bolt bounce. Unfortunately it is not designed to have the internal weights modified or changed by the end user.
As long as the buffer tube is the same length as our A5 tube, you can use our buffer in it.
The VLTOR A5 Specialty Buffer is 3.995" in overall length as it is designed to be used with a A5 buffer tube, not a carbine length tube.
For that rifle set up I recommend using the VLTOR A5 Specialty Buffer 3.8oz or 4.56oz model. However, you will need to use a compatible stock and the VLTOR A5 Specialty Buffer Spring.
The VLTOR A5 Specialty Buffers could be used in an AR9 Build but you could not use a carbine length buffer tube with the VLTOR A5 Specialty Buffer. You would need to use a rifle length buffer tube.
I suggest you use the A5H2 5.33 oz VLTOR A5 Specialty Buffer.
The VLTOR A5 Specialty Buffer I would recommend using is the 5.33oz buffer. Pair that with a standard A5 spring and it should be fine. MPN:A5H2
