A
Answered by VLTOR CS, guest, from AZ, United States, on June 17, 2026

Our go to buffer weight for most builds is the A5H2 that comes in this kit. The original A5 buffers(A5H2 weight) were designed for the 20inch M16.

Unfortunately we don't have data for use with the .224 Valkyrie, however the A5H2 is what we always suggest for a good starting point.

The Vltor A5 Stock Combo Kit could be used with a AR15 carbine build. The buffer you would need would depend on other factors like caliber and barrel length.

The Vltor A5 Stock Combo Kit will not add or subtract to your rifles length of pull. Although it is Slightly wider and longer at the toe than a regular M4 stock with a noticeable negative pitch making transitions from the ready position feel more natural.
