Volquartsen Firearms does not provide the overall length for their Lightweight Barrel and Stock for the Ruger 10/22 Takedown. I'd recommend reaching out to them directly for more information.
Thank you for your "expert" answer ETHAN from Fib-Land... I got you Alii: 12.½" approx OAL. Breech to Muzzle, (end cap removed: hair over 10½") ~ w/cap is just about an 8th longer. Barrel diameter is 7/8" approx. The barrel end cap is steel and has a good knurled "bite" feel, to the touch, and has a thin retention washer (heads-up you'll lose that sucker quicker than you can stub your toe.) and has a black phosphate finish. The Picatinny rail (MIL-STD-1913 rail or 1913 rail) is aluminum with a painted matte (phosphate feel) as well, it's sturdy and is reversible w/ hex wrench ...which would shorten the OAL 2½" to 10⅝ approx. If you're going to utilize the X-22 backpacker stock, you'll find that there's a small black polymer "plug" or "button" looking interference when trying to seat this into the forend. A pair of needle-nose pliers and a twist fixes that issue. You'll need to get creative to smooth down the other skinny ¼" wide interference polymer "lip" molded into forend that the thicker barrel diameter contacts that's about 16th of an inch thick and an 8th high... I used an x-acto knife from the junk drawer and a pocket full of cuss' wondering why that's even there to begin with... It took like 2 min to alter them both. Unsure how any other stock brands look under the hood when barrel is swapped out. It's super lightweight and I think it is an amazing little piece of engineering on Volquartsens part. Gives the Backpacker X-22 a fun looking makeover. You will probably need to find tune the fitment for it with adjustment ring. That took me about 5 min to get the seating jussst right... Too tight and you'll have a heck'n time making it 2 pieces again. (Open it about 8-10 "clicks" to the left if you have the butt stick to your shoulder to be on safe side and walk it back in a click at a time until you feel it resist your input turning it into the receiver just slightly.) I think you'll be very satisfied with this. The hardest part was picking out the optic. I'm no expert but this was my experience. "Drop of blue Loc-tite is worth its weight in gold." ~Happy Plinking.
