At 18" x 10" x 10" this pack is not intended to carry an AR. While in theory, an AR could b attached, the suspension system is not designed for this, and the pack would be unbalanced and unwieldy.

Unfortunately, there are no provisions on the product for transport of a rifle. While there are aftermarket products that allow attachment of an AR, they are sort of fiddly, and unless centered, they cause discomfort as the backpack is tilted to one side from the weight.

Blackhawk makes such a product - it's intended for belt use, but could likely be adapted for use on a backpack:
