I would recommend using a dedicated 1-piece scope mount such as the Aero Precision Ultralight 30mm Scope Mount (linked below). This mount is designed to mount the optic at the ideal centerline height for an AR pattern rifle and allows for enough clearance for up to a 56mm objective lens.
