The Vortex Defender-ST is compatible with the FN 509 Compact Tactical. You will need to use the FN #501 MRD plate (Deltapoint Pro) that can be purchased directly from FN. With that plate installed, you will be able to install this optic.

The Shield Plus is designed to accept RMSc-footprint optics directly to the slide, whereas this is a DPP footprint. A custom adapter plate could be fashioned by the folks at AmeriGun USA (www.amerigunusa.com).
Without a custom adapter, no. The Defender-ST is a Delta Point Pro cut, otherwise!
