Vortex states their Diamondback 10x42mm Roof Prism Binocular features waterproof and fogproof construction but does not specify a waterproof rating. I would recommend contacting them directly for more information.

The HD version uses very high quality glass that gives a much clearer image. The Diamondback binoculars are clear in general but the HD is for those who want the best they can get.
