It will depend on a lot of factors. Shooting a .308, with Shoot-n-C splatter style targets should be visible out to 200-300 yards. But seeing bullet holes at long distances becomes exponentially more difficult the farther out it is because of mirage, clarity of the optics, bullet size and a slew of other variables.
