How well do these perform in low light conditions.

They do okay, but we would recommend getting something with a larger objective lens. This has an exit pupil of approximately 3.5mm. We would recommend getting the 8x42 instead if you plan on predominantly using it during low light. It is larger, but the sacrifice in weight/size will be the added benefit of having better low light use.
