This will come with a lower mount, but will also fit any Aim point Micro mounts.

Mine has a “MADE IN CHINA” sticker on it. Pretty disappointed since the msrp on the dang thing was close to $600

The Vortex Spitfire HD Gen II 3x Prism Scope will automatically shut off after 14 hours of inactivity. However, it does not utilize a shake awake function.

wiil i have to remove the rear iron sight on my DDM4 v7 5.56 rifle in order to mount this site far back enough to get proper eye distance ???

The Vortex Spitfire HD Gen II 3x Prism Scope will hold up to recoil on a 45/70 rifle. This optic features a AR-BDC4 Reticle which was specifically optimized for the 5.56 cartridge and would not translate to 45/70.

The Vortex Spitfire HD Gen II 3x Prism Scope uses the Aimpoint Footprint. So the Vortex Spitfire HD Gen II 3x Prism Scope could use a QD mount that uses that mounting footprint. The mount at the link below should work.

Since this Vortex Spitfire HD Gen II 3x Prism Scope is a magnified prismatic red dot it is not compatible with a 3x magnifier. A red dot magnifier is compatible with non magnified red dot sights.

Has anyone mounted / used this sight on a 10/22-style rifle? Is the eye relief ok? Is the low mount low enough?

The Vortex Spitfire HD Gen II 3x Prism Scope can work on a 10/22. However, depending on what model you have of a 10/22 you may want to consider getting a full length picatinny rail to mount this optic.
