Hello - what is the difference between the FDE and black versions of this scope? FDE is $299.99 and the black is $399.99 - $100 price difference. Thx!

The only difference between the Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24mm Rifle Scope models is the OPMOD version comes in an FDE finish and says OPMOD on the side and the Vortex version comes in Black.

Is it long eye relief?

These have a fairly standard eye-relief compared to the majority of riflescopes on the marketplace. A true long-eye relief could be found in our Crossfire 2-7x32 Scout model, boasting just over 9" at the highest magnification!

Yes, you could use the Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24mm Rifle Scope on a crossbow. However, I recommend using the Vortex Crossbow Scope listed below.
