Yes, you could mount the Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x24 mm Riflescope to a Browning BLR, I would use the DNZ Browning BLR 30mm mount and rings. You can find that mount here:

Does the free scope mount come with the FDE one or just the black?

They are not technically different generations, but this is the updated model of the Vortex Strike Eagle. That can be clearly seen and differentiated by the included throw lever and the part number being different, MPN:SE-1824-2.
