No, the Vortex Pro Extended Cantilever Mount is designed to mount to flattop picatinny rails and intended to be used with AR platform rifles in order to provide the ideal centerline height of 1.435".

the centerline has nothing todo with with this, (unless it had a 20 degree MOA rake to it)
I also used this mount on a "Hatsen 125 Sniper 22 cal. pellet rifle, thats why i needed to mount in reverse direction, Not only made for AR-15 platform

yes it works , before i bought this mount, i was watching "Vortex Nation" on UTUBE, and the technical person mentioned that this scope can be mounted in reverse. So this answer came from the Vortex company.
