The Vortex Viper HS LR 6-24x50 FFP Riflescope is not illuminated, there are no illuminated reticles in the Vortex Viper HS LR line.

Jon, I went and checked over at Vortex's website and none of the Viper HS LR scopes have illuminated reticles. You'll have to look for a different model. The Viper "PST" line of scopes all have illumination.
