We get this part directly from Walther, so we would most likely receive the Gen 2 version if they are no longer making the Gen 1 version.

For anyone else still wondering about this a few years later: I just bought this from Optics Planet (May 2022) and can confirm that the part currently being shipped is definitely the gen 2 adapter (Walther call it the "new style"). This fits newer P22 barrels and is slightly longer than the original gen 1 adapter, as the guide that slots into the barrel shroud is longer. As of the time of writing the product photo on Optics Planet is the old adapter part and does not match the product you will receive. Hopefully OP will update the listing soon. I got the part I needed so I'm happy, but make sure you know which one you need before ordering.
