Will these fit on the mounting plate that comes standard with a Ruger 10/22 takedown model??

You would need to purchase a picatinny scope base for your 10/22 Takedown in order to mount the Weaver Quad Lock Rings. You can find the Evolution Gun Works Picatinny Scope Mount by using the link below:

would I need medium rings or large for 40mm Nikon on a browing BAR

Expert Answer

Answered by Mark H., Gear Expert, from IL, United States, on September 18, 2019

Typically, a riflescope with a 40mm objective will use low rings on a riflescope with a standard barrel that tapers towards the muzzle.

General guidelines for non-AR rifles with standard, non-bull/target/heavy barrels are

40-42mm: low
44mm: medium
50mm: high
56mm: extra-high
