To a point, yes it will. You do not want to put boiling hot tomatoes through the unit, but warm/hot tomatoes should be just fine.

Will this crush the seeds? Or leave them in tact so they can be dried and planted for next season?

Manufacturer Answer

It will not crush the seeds, it will keep them whole and extrude them out through the clear waste full on the front end of the machine.

do I need any attachments for the tomato press. I have just ordered it

A

If you want to do grapes or persimmons (larger seeds), you'll need the grape spiral. If you want to do salsa, you'll need the salsa screen.

Q
Janelle, guest, from CA, United States, asked on August 17, 2021

Do you have to boll the tomatoes first??

A
Answered by Kathryn, guest, from MN, United States, on August 29, 2021

Do you mean boil? If so, the answer is no. Just put raw tomatoes in top, maybe quartered for faster grinding. Smaller fruits don't need cutting.
