This is for Armalite length gas systems. Barrel manufactures aren't standardized. Some use DPMS(ar15)length, some use Armalite. Even if the barrel extension uses DPMS threads, it still may have Armalite length gas(BCA for example).
I bought this for an LR-308 build and it is too long by at least 1/4". The BCG bottoms out on the tube. More wasted money.
It depends on your barrel and whether it uses an AR-10/Armalite or AR-15/DPMS length gas system. This is for 15.5". AR-15/DPMS is 15.125" and this will be too long.
This is an 308 AR/ AR-10 length gas tube, when installed on a large frame AR this should put the breach end of the tube right in the center of your cam pin cut-out on the upper receiver, so YES, this will work on either, it will NOT work on an AR-15 small frame rifle..
