It's a 1:7" twist rate with 6 Groove Button Rifling. They hone and hand lap at the end as well I believe. They've been doing AR barrels fir decades and tier 1s at that. 1 of the few barrel makers in 300blk that have figured out the perfect gas port size and etc for it to run flawlessly in suppressed and un-suppressed with both ammo types. Have read reviews on lot of other barrel makers and on forums that have cycling issues with 1 or both ammo types, or they can only get the gun tuned for suppressed or not. If switch to supersonic have to switch buffers or gas adjustment or both. Yet to hear that with Wilson, and have read reviews saying their builds run great suppressed and with supersonic ammo can on or not.
The Wilson Combat Match Grade Barrel does not include a gas block or gas tube. It will use any 0.750" gas block and pistol length gas tube.
Yes, the Wilson Combat TR300SBRPG8RT7 Match Grade Barrel 8" 300 AAC Blackout is dimpled for set screws.
Yes, per the manufacturer the barrel length is 8".
I talked to the rep from Wilson and he said there is no special break-in period/procedure for these barrels. Just clean it and go shoot it, enjoy!
