Do this model actually have Tritium? Or is the description wrong?

No, these are non-tritium sights.

Can the "inserts" be switched to have a left hand offset?

Yes, they can. That was one of my original design requirements on the XTI set. The sight can be converted for left hand use by the end user. Simply loosen the rear sight set screws, remove the sight from the dovetail, rotate it 180 degrees, and reinstall in the base. The front sight can be rotated 180 by depressing the detent plunger and turning the sight like you would a milspec AR15 front.

Can the amber dot be changed out on these?

The XS Sights Systems XTI2 DXS Standard Dot Ember Photoluminescent Angle Offset Sights front sight can be swapped out or replaced.
