Product Info for Redding Reloading Press Primer Arm Assembly
After extensive experimentation and testing the new primer arm comes in. This arm satisfies the need for an inexpensive but effective primer arm. Made from an incredibly strong cast iron this arm is one part of a greater machine that includes the power unit and the actual arm. Because of the countless nooks and crannies the arm is perfect for the slightest of cartridges even the tiniest little primers. By using this new arm together with the appropriate cartridge sleeves the press is ready for production. The arm secures the ram to the base when the ram is lowered and this secures the detachable ram as the prime moves up and down the ram. All that is necessary is the ram is moved into the proper position and the ram is moved back and forth. All that is necessary for a simple R&R is the ram itself. The ram must be set at the correct height for the ram to move into position. If the arm is moved up or down one is displaced from the ram. If the arm is moved back one is free to move to the next location by simply pivoting it out. That is the same for the replacment ram. The replacement ram is simply installed by sliding it into place and then sliding it out. There is no need to remove and re-zero the arm. The camlock prevents cross loading of cartridges in the chamber. If you wish to change primer size or have another ram set up you must purchase a new one.
