Will this fit a Vortex Defender XL? Expert Answer

No, this mount is designed to fit optics that use the Aimpoint T1 pattern footprint. The Vortex Defender XL uses the Deltapoint Pro footprint and would not be compatible. Unfortunately, we do not currently carry a lower 1/3 mount for the Deltapoint Pro footprint.

As of 12/27/21, does this ship with mounting screws? I saw the answer was no, back in 2020. However, Reptilia says they're included on their website.

Yes. Mine came with 4 plus the Allen key

This mount is the same weight as the Scalarworks mount but $50 cheaper. Plus i love the DDC color it comes in. Solid mount and will be my mount of choice till they come out with something better, like maybe a QD version but in the same weight!

The DOT Mount by Reptilia is a lightweight, slim-line mounting solution for a variety of red dot optics. Machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum with Milspec Type III hard anodized finish, the DOT Mount attaches to any M1913 Picatinny rail, and offers lower 1/3 co-witness with standard AR15-style back-up sights. Its spring-loaded nitrided steel clamp and mounting bolt simplify the installation process, and sit flush with the body of the mount for a low-profile, anti-snag design.image
