Fantastic lightweight red dot mount

Written on Feb 08, 2022

I was a bit worried about the fit on my Holosun due to the asymmetric design... but I can confirm that this mount is a near perfect fit for a Holosun Paralow HS503G.
Maybe not so great for T1 style red dots with symmetrical bodies, if you care about that sort of thing, as the it will overhang on one side
I had previously bought a lower 1/3 G precision mount but it was way to low to be of any use.
Great mount!!

Excellent!!... Geissele SSP for your PCC... just REMEMBER the set screws adjustment!!

I feel Rise Armament needs to SHOUT quite a bit louder regarding the ESSENTIAL lower receiver set screw tightening.
I ordered the flat blade 242 for a 9mm PCC build... and I am very impressed.
The complainers in these reviews should have a gunsmith install their trigger...and probably everything else gun related... because I feel they don't know what they are doing or talking about.
It's not as mechanically tight as a Geissele SSP at rest...or as comfortable as that wide SSP blade... but break and reset are comparable... with perhaps less creep than an SSP.
Seriously.....
Works well with JP 9mm BCG... and a short stroked action... and it is as fast as you can go.
I used some KNS pins I already had... so I cannot give an opinion of the supplied anti-rotation pins.
I've cycled through at least 200 dry fires with impeccable consistency and I'm looking forward to tearing up the range... and the PCC competition.
Good stuff....recommended!

It takes a little while to realize the potential of this gun bag.

If you want to store two AR15's in the main compartment as suggested in the photographs... forget it... it doesn't work.
I've got an 18" barreled scoped precision AR and a 16" barreled red dot blaster.
So... after initial disappointment... I gave it some thought and bought a cheap case for my other gun that would fit inside the OPMOD bag.
I chose the UTG Homeland Security KIS 38-Inch Covert Gun Case... which has a cheesy name but can be picked up cheap and it has great padding.
It fits inside the main compartment perfectly with my shorter AR in it.
The outer molle pockets of the OPMOD bag are great... add pouches to your hearts content... string up hearing protection, gloves... whatever.
So.. to wrap this review up... I like the fact that I can have a ton of equipment in this bag and it still looks plain and boring... it's versatility is fantastic.. you just have to think about it a little... and then adjust it to suit your needs.
The competition looks far more "tactical gun bag" in my opinion.... and offers less versatility.
The "case in case" works perfectly and I don't have to strap up the long gun in the main compartment with the velcro straps... and it will still all fit in a hard case.
The exclusion of wrap around straps (in addition to the carry handles)was a surprise... but perhaps they are not required.
Recommended product.
