Even better than the titanium version
I’ve used the 2A takedown pins on my last 20 to 25 builds. Recently, the titanium version was out so I tried the steel version. What I can say is that they may be heavier (you will never notice), but they are much smoother and I like the black look better than the titanium also. I’ve used these on my last 5 builds and I’m sold.
Good pins!
Not sure if you will notice how much lighter either the steel or titanium pins are but these are the best made pins I've found yet. The finish is super smooth and they have that upgraded look. Iv used many sets of these and never a problem, 2A Makes good stuff.

Great pins!
If you’re looking to customize your build and hang cool stuff on your build these hollowed pins are a must because you can screw and glue ornaments with epoxy and personalize your weapon.
The goal of the allowed pins is to reduce weight on your weapon but I glued some cool skulls on them and now my AR looks amazing!

works just like it needs to
The pins work fine and are in spec. They're a nice, cheap way to shave a little bit of weight while leaving some of cash to spend elsewhere. This is my first build with them, but i do plan to continue using them.

lightweight drilled out steel take/ down and pivot pin set without springs abd detents.
Works great. Every little change helped my all Anderson receiver build get down to 6lbs 5oz with optic and BUIS. 6.5lbs with flashlight, FS mount, optic and back up iron sights. They slide with better ease than the titanium model (2A Pin & Spring set). It has the same sharp edge on the pivot pin aft on the right side. I’ll epoxy something in there to smooth out the sharp edge as I did the Ti version. Smoothed sharp edge would make this a 5 star item I’d pay more than $12 for.

Nice nitrided pins
I wanted a set of nitrided pins for a new build, and these fit the bill. They are very well machined and aesthetically pleasing. They do not come with springs or detents, so make sure to get some with them.

Good Fit & Finish
These pins look great and are very light. These have been a great price for titanium. They are my standard by which other pins are rated. If you're looking to save weight, these pins could be a less expensive option than a lightweight barrel or extra-milled receivers. I would certainly by these again.

2A Armament Takedown Pins
I recently purchased a Palouse receiver set from 2A's Builder's Series along with a 10" handguard for my 10.5" AR Pistol build. I happened upon these on Optics Planet after seeing they were sold out on 2A's site. I could not be happier with my purchase. These takedown pins are superlight and beautifully finished. I will defintely be including these in future builds
Pros:
- Well-machined, Super light weight
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Weight savings(every oz. counts

Top Notch Pins
Short of going for softer aluminum, these are the lightest takedown pins on the market. The drilled-out look is darn aesthetic too, especially with the raw Ti finish, and I'd highly recommend these for anyone putting together a 'premium' build. Knocking off one star because the springs and detents aren't included with the pins. It's not a big deal to buy your own, but they're also a requirement for installing any takedown pins--why would 2A leave them out?
Pros:
- Lightweight
- durable
- Aesthetics
Cons:
- No detents or springs

Cool design poor function
i bought these pins do to their light weight and nice asthetics however after installation I would not recommend them. They don't slide as smoothly as they should, plus they have very little area to grab. I normally have to use a round to push takedown pin out. Not to mention it didn't come with springs or detents. I'd advise the battle arms pins over these.
Pros:
- light weight
- Asthetically Pleasing
Cons:
- No hardware for install
- hard to work with
Would recommend: No
Incredible pins.
These blew me away. Pins are pins I thought and I really just bought them for the color. These are now my go to pins. They are ridiculously lightweight and look great. Form and function in one set. Love it.
