Amazing performance
I have several department-store grade LED flashlights at home, in my truck, and on the boat. This is the first tactical flashlight I ever pruchased and I did so based on the reviews I read. It has exceeded my expectations and would highly recommend it. Once you make the transition, you will never be satisfied with what you can buy off the shelf at your typical Home Depot store.
Pros: design, features, quality construction and value
Cons: I wish I had two of them

Optimum Balance of Features & Output
As an electrical engineer I can really appreciate this light and find this light to be one of the best quality lights for the cost available on the market today. The functionality AA set-up and the tactical over standard is a no brainer from a consumer standpoint. The set-up is so simple I'm pretty sure my 6 yr old niece could reset the favorite settings. As with many lights on the market, size seems to be a big issue for when it comes to choosing the correct one. The Quark AA2 is about the size of a 2-AA maglite, allowing it to be stashed just about anywhere comfortably. I actually ordered the AA2 with the Cree XP-G-R5, must have been a mess up on shipping (A+ shipping - ordered on a Friday and received it on a Monday) but it's not that big of a deal, most likely purchase both and shelf one they are that nice. Overall I would give this light a 9.5 and that .5 off is basically for color rendition of it.
Pros: Very bright and versatile, Value purchase, Quality made
Cons: Color temperature is slightly green
